Taking the Bus from Madrid

Buses from Madrid to Valencia depart from Madrid Sur station, which is located 1 kilometer south of Madrid's city center next to Mendez Alvaro train and underground station. Madrid Sur is served by commuter trains (lines C1, C5, and C10) and the underground (line 6). Trains link the station with the center (Atocha) every 5 minutes, starting early in the morning and finishing at midnight. Travel time is 3-4 minutes. The underground goes to Principe Pio station (to the west of Gran Via and the main tourist area), taking 30 minutes and departing every 5 minutes (10 minutes on weekends).

Getting into Valencia by Bus

Valencia is a cosmopolitan Mediterranean city packed with beautiful examples of Baroque architecture, bustling markets, and modern museums. The city's seaside location and mild weather makes it the ideal all-year-round getaway. Buses from Madrid to Valencia will be dropped off at Valencia central station, which is to the north of the city center. City bus number 6 links the station with the center every 10-15 minutes from the early morning until 10 p.m. and the journey takes 20 minutes. The nearest subway station is Turia, located 850 meters west of the coach station. From here, travelers can reach the city center in just 2 minutes. Trains run every 15 minutes. A taxi ride to the center should cost no more than €10.
