Cheap Airlines Flying to Austria
Several airlines offer cheap flights to Austria from the US. These include United, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines and Austria's national airline, Austrian Airlines. The only direct service is with Austrian Airlines from New York to Vienna. Alternatives include Turkish Airlines with one stop in Istanbul and Air Berlin with one stop in Dusseldorf. There are no direct flights to Linz, Innsbruck, Salzburg, Graz and Klagenfurt although services such as Lufthansa's New York to Innsbruck flight with one stop in Frankfurt are widely available. Direct flights to Austria are not available from other US cities but again, many carriers such as KLM and SAS offer flights with one stop.

The most popular destination for flights to Austria is Vienna and the airport is within easy reach of the city centre by S-Bahn or shuttle bus service. Other destinations include Linz, Salzburg and Innsbruck and each respective airport is within a few miles of the city centre. Public transport is reasonably priced and less expensive than taxis.
