Trains depart from around 4 a.m. until midnight daily. Departures are scheduled multiple times per hour during most of the day, tapering off to twice an hour after 9 p.m. Fares vary by time, service, and demand level, with discounted fares for specific trips costing less than "flexpreis" tickets.
