Taking the Train from Malaga

All trains from Malaga to Barcelona will depart from Maria Zambrano station, which is just to the south-west of the central district. Maria Zambrano is also a bus terminal, and has excellent connections to all parts of Malaga via buses including numbers 1, 3, 4, 5, 24 and 27. If you are coming from towns along the Andalucian coast, the station is also a terminus for regional rail services, providing a link to the Costa del Sol.

Getting into Barcelona by Train

Barcelona is full of magical attractions - from the bizarre style of the Sagrada Familia cathedral to the outlandish sculptures of Parc Guell, the funfair on mount Tibidabo and the 1992 Olympic Games site. But it also offers fantastic nightlife, music, dance, art and food - making it one of Spain's premier destinations. All trains from Malaga arrive at Barcelona Sants, which is centrally located, so getting into town won't be hard. Simply transfer from your Renfe or Ave service onto the Metro, which links Sants up with every corner of the city. If you are travelling onward by air, the Renfe C2 airport train also connects Sants with El Prat Airport, and regional trains provide access to the Costa Brava to the north.
