There are countless reasons to love Lisbon. Portugal’s capital is one of Europe’s coolest cities and oozes effortless charm. Visitors should check out the famous seven hills with breathtaking views of the city and indulge in as much fresh seafood as possible. But be sure to leave some space for an afternoon coffee accompanied by local delicacies like the ‘pastel de nata’ egg tart pastry.

Travellers are encouraged to spend the afternoon getting lost in the old neighbourhoods and explore the winding alleyways – Alfama, Castelo and Madragoa are amongst locals favourites. Be sure to listen to some “Fado” and hop on Lisbon’s iconic yellow tram (28) which traipses through the city. Night owls should flock to Bairro Alto for some party fun and continue through the night to a delicious sunrise breakfast on the Cais do Sodré!
