What do I need to know about travelling on National Express buses?

    No, one child under 3 years old may travel for free when accompanied by a paying passenger 16+ years old. Any additional children under the age of 16 must purchase a child's ticket. Passengers under the age of 16 travelling on a child's ticket must be able to produce an official piece of identification bearing their photograph and date of birth.

Liverpool is located 355 kilometres north west of London and buses provide a fast and comfortable way to reach the city on the Mersey. National Express operates 11 daily services with the first leaving at 7:00 a.m. Some are direct, some involve a change of vehicle at Manchester Airport or Birmingham. The fastest service takes 5 hours and 10 minutes. Some routes call at Chester and Birkenhead, others at London Finchley Road, Milton Keynes, and Manchester. All coaches stop at Manchester, Shudehill Interchange, and one service also calls at Coventry, Cannon Park and Birmingham, Hill Street.
