Taking the Train from Manchester

With an international airport within its city limits, Manchester is the third most visited city in the United Kingdom, famous for the Manchester United football team but offering far more than just football. Manchester's world-class University draws students from far and wide, giving the city a youthful energy. The city also has a knack for reinventing old buildings; don't miss The People's Museum in a refurbished Edwardian pumping station, or a new restaurant in the dusty old basement archive of the Manchester Evening News.
